MUSCOGEE CLOTHING

Prior to contact with Europeans the Muscogee wore few clothes.  Men wore deerskin breechcloths and women wore skirts.  As early as the 1700s, European traders introduced wool and cotton clothes made in England.  The Muscogee adapted the clothing and traded deer pelts for it.  (Click here for another picture).   Today Muscogee wear everyday American clothing.
